Aalborg MPF Multi Fuel
The Aalborg MPF (Marine Para Flow) burner is designed for dual-fuel firing, accommodating a range of fuels such as MDO, HFO, crude oil, and fuel gas. It is available in both roof-fired and wall-fired configurations. Additionally, there is a low-emission version of this marine burner called the Aalborg MPF-LE (LE stands for low emissions).

The Alfa Laval Gas Combustion Unit (GCU) stands as a tried-and-true solution with ample capacity for the control of surplus LNG boil-off gas. Its specialized design caters to the precise management of cargo tank pressure aboard LNG carriers (LNGCs) and floating storage regasification units (FSRUs), boasting a straightforward and dependable construction that has demonstrated its reliability over extended periods at sea. Furthermore, the GCU 2.0 builds upon this design, offering increased capacity and an extended operational lifespan while maintaining the same compact dimensions.

The latest iteration, the GCU 2.0, has undergone extensive optimization through comprehensive testing at the Alfa Laval Test & Training Centre. This iteration boasts an upgraded combustion chamber and burner, significantly enhancing both capacity and longevity.
The GCU 2.0 retains the same simplicity and ease of maintenance as its predecessor, featuring a robust design with a minimal number of moving components. Optimized airflow and an elevated burner equipped with electrical igniters ensure a stable flame within the fully metallic combustion chamber. Remarkably, the GCU 2.0 is engineered to perform flawlessly in Arctic conditions, with design temperatures reaching as low as -52°C, making it a unique solution in its category.
